Meet Dr. Marie Lulette Fermil (El Paso, TX)

Marie Lulette Fermil, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 2019 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2007. Dr. Fermil specializes in primary care. In 2009, she enlisted in the U.S. Army as a medic – specifically, an ophthalmic technician. Through this experience, her interest in vision and eye health care grew.

After fulfilling her military term, Dr. Fermil was inspired to begin her academic journey to become an optometrist. To Dr. Fermil, building strong partnerships with her patients allows her to help improve their eye health and quality of life through better vision. In her free time, Dr. Fermil enjoys playing with her baby girl, singing karaoke, and watching Korean dramas.
